Endotoxins, particularly lipopolysaccharides (LPS), can trigger inflammatory responses in immune cells, disrupting their interactions with other cell types and compromising the reliability of therapeutic testing in 3D cell culture models. This is especially critical in macrophage studies, immuno-oncology models, and translational research, where immune activation must be tightly controlled.

LunaGel™ Ultrapure GelMA solves this challenge with ultra-low endotoxin levels (<10 EU/g), ensuring a clean, immune-compatible environment for sensitive applications. Like other LunaGel™ formulations, it is highly tunable, allowing researchers to precisely control stiffness to mimic both healthy and diseased tissue microenvironments, enhancing the relevance and reproducibility of immune-cell studies.

5 mL LunaGel™ ECM (2x solution, sterile)
5 vials of freeze-dried photoinitiator (sterile) 

High Stiffness Kits: 

5 mL LunaGel™ ECM (1.5x solution, sterile) 

5 vials of freeze-dried photoinitiator (sterile) 

How LunaGel™ Photocrosslinkable Extracellular Matrix​ Works

LunaGel™ is a sterile, ready-to-use ECM solution supplied with a freeze-dried photoinitiator. It is available in two formulations: 

  • Low Stiffness Kit: 0 – 6.5 kPa 
  • High Stiffness Kit: 0 – 25 kPa 

Simple 3-Step Process: 

1️) Prepare – Reconstitute the photoinitiator in PBS and mix with LunaGel™ ECM and cells.
2️) Crosslink – Use the LunaCrosslinker™ to photocrosslink the solution, forming a stable 3D hydrogel.
3️) Customize Stiffness – Adjust light exposure time to precisely control mechanical properties. 

Simply add your preferred culture media, and you’re ready to culture in 3D!
